POLICY

Unique U Salon & Day Spa reserves the right to refuse services to any person

and is not responsible for informing clients of all our policies. We have a strict non-refundable policy for all hair or spa service offered. A therapist or associate may terminate services at any time for misconduct.

Reservations​

Hair and Spa services are available by appointment, we recommend scheduling your appointment as far in advance as possible to ensure availability. Reservations must be held with a valid credit card or else we will not be able to schedule your appointment. All prices stated are approximates. Prices are subject to change without notice. ​

Check-In

We suggest that you arrive 10-15 minutes before your appointment. If you are a first time client, a profile will be completed prior to your service. ​
 

Late Arrivals

We regret that late arrivals will not receive an extension of scheduled service times and will be responsible for full service fees. Understand that all late clients will receive a shorter service and will still incur the full charge.

Cancellations

​​We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. We understand that things “come up.” Therefore, we only charge 50% of the services that would have been rendered and only if we cannot find another client to fill your slot. However, if you fail to appear for your appointment without attempting to cancel your appointment before hand, a full fee (100% of the price for each service) is charged to your credit card for missed appointments that are rescheduled or canceled less than 24 hours; 48-hour cancellations on two or more services. This is why we require a credit card from you to guarantee your reservation. 
 

Hair Re-Do

If you are unhappy with the hair color or cut that you received, we do offer re-do appointments. However, all re-do appointments must be within seven days following the service and will only be offered once. If the time has exceeded seven days then the full price will be charged.

Merchandise and Product Exchange​

Merchandise cannot be returned, only exchanged. All merchandise/product exchanges must be within 7 days of purchase with original receipt. No monetary value of any sort will be given for exchanged products. The client is responsible for a price difference between exchanged products.

Personal Items​

All customers are advised that Unique U Day Spa is not liable for any personal items that are lost, stolen, or damaged. We suggest you arrange for your valuables to be stored at home prior to your visit with us.​


​Cell Phones​​

To guarantee a relaxing visit for all Unique U Day Spa guests, we ask that you please turn off your cell phone during your visit with us. No cell phones are permitted in the spa, nail, or color areas.

Gratuity

Gratuities are accepted for exceptional services. The average gratuity for a spa service is 17% to 20% of the total cost of the treatment and accepted cash only. However, the gratuity you leave is entirely based on your satisfaction.

​Gift Certificates​​

Gift certificates are non-refundable for either cash or credit as they have no cash value. All gift certificates must be presented upon services, and gratuity cannot be included on the gift certificate. All gift certificates are valid for six (6) months from date of purchase with no exceptions. All expiration dates are final and cannot be extended regardless of the situation. If there is a no-show and a gift certificate was to be used for payment, the client will still be charged for the full amount for all scheduled appointments, as Unique U reserves the right to reclaim gift certificates to cover all charges incurred.

When using or purchasing a gift certificate, no offers, coupons, or other gift certificates can be used. Gift certificates are not valid until payment has been fully received and successfully processed. If there is any unused balance remaining on a gift certificate, then the balance will remain until redeemed or the original expiration date indicated on the gift certificate.

A gift certificate cannot be used unless the client presents the gift certificate to the front desk. If a gift certificate is forgotten, a credit card must be charged for all of the services received. In order to transfer the payment from the credit card to the gift certificate, the gift certificate must be presented within 24 hours and the transaction on the credit card will be refunded.

Upon redeeming, a recipient may be required to show valid ID beforehand for security purposes. Unique U Day Spa, its agents, and its vendors, may provide gift certificate purchasers with information about the redemption status of the gift certificate. Unique U Day Spa reserves the right to immediately invalidate gift certificates without notice should it receive a credit card chargeback or any other form of repudiated payment made towards gift certificate. Also, Unique U Day Spa is not responsible for late deliveries of gift certificates or lost or stolen gift certificates.

​Packages and Series​​
No substitution of services for either packages or series can be given. Packages and series are non-refundable for either cash or credit and have no cash value. In order to use a package or series, the gift certificate must be presented upon the services. Also, gratuity cannot be included in the package or series, and it cannot be given to a technician as gratuity.

The expiration date pertaining to a package or series is final and cannot be extended regardless of the situation. If there is a no-show and a package or series was meant to be used, then the client will still have to pay for the full amount.

If a package or series is being used, it cannot be combined with any other offer, coupons, or any other gift certificate. If there are remaining services on a package or series, then they will remain until used or until the specified expiration date.

​Online Gift Certificates​​
All transactions performed to purchase an online gift certificate is taken care of by a third party internet agent. Therefore, Unique U is not responsible for any issues pertaining to its payment. Also, because of the third party involvement, no changes can be made to the gift certificate or refunds given. All policies pertaining to gift certificates apply to online gift certificates as well.

Payment Options

We gladly accept cash, Visa, and Mastercard for processing your payment, and major credit cards for your web site orders. We will not be able to accept money orders or checks.

​Coupons​

In order to show appreciation to our wonderful clientele and to draw in new clients, we always provide some coupon that pertains to a specific promotion. These coupons cannot be exchanged for any other coupon, and can also not be returned for cash as they have no cash value. As we do wish to give them to as many clients as possible, there can only be one coupon per client, therefore they cannot be used multiple times. Also, all promotions and coupons have an expiration date which cannot be extended regardless of the situation. Coupons or promotions cannot be used in concordance with gift certificates, packages, or any other offer.
