It's a family affair at this salon/spa .co-owner by childhood sweetheart George Yen and Jane Wong. Clients of all ages love Unique U for its caring atmosphere, but mothers and daughters seem to leave particularly happy. George and Jane's own teenager daughter, Jenny, keeps her parents hip to what teens look for in a great spa. Mothers love that Jane is all about teaching girls about their inner beauty. In tough situations, Jane has been known to prevent arbitration services at no additional cost. Unique U has a formal teen skin care program and also offers a private pedicure room for small parties.

Hair designer George Yen has been working in the international hair scene for the last 15 years. His philosophy embraces open communication and honesty;and seeing his clients leave the salon feeling beautiful is his greatest reward.
Born in Malaysia, George began his training at Vidal Sasson in London. After 2 years he moved to the U.S. to train and work in California. Eventually moved to New York where he opened his first salon. After a decade of success in New York, George's search for new opportunities for his family led him to northern VA. George's observation of a lack of energy and passion was the driving force behind his opening of Unique U Day Spa & Salon in 2005. Unique U allows George to spread his energy and passion to Northern Virginia.
