Apprenticeship Program

An Apprenticeship program. To explain it in brief, it is an 24 month program that teaches you the knowledge and skills that you need to become a successful hair stylist. This program runs parallel to most beauty schools, the difference is that you work in our salon in addition to attending all classes necessary. You learn the ins and outs of the beauty industry hands on. We believe and have seen through our previous programs that our students greatly benefit from this way of learning. Understanding hair and cosmetology in general, you must be able to experience it. Reading about it in a textbook gives you the knowledge but working in a salon atmosphere creates the experience for all our students. This is an amazing opportunity, and it takes strong motivation and a huge commitment. In order to qualify for this program you .

MUST:

-Have at least a high school diploma

-Are able to work a full-time work schedule for Unique U Day Salon & Day Spa for 24 months

-Have a passion and love for hair

Shampoo Assistant Program

This opportunity is for those who do not have a license and are interested in becoming a hair stylist.  A 2 year in -salon  Apprenticeship is available  to help you achieve a VA State cosmetology License and a 2-year Unique U Day Spa intensive training Program to become a successful hair stylist .

Stylist

We are seeking licensed hair stylists who have existing clientele.

Licensed Esthetician

We are seeking  Estheticians with a VA license. Ideal candidate must be motivated, friendly, and a people person. Excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle clients in difficult situations are essential.                                         

Massage Therapist

Seeking Massage Therapists currently licensed in VA to work part time shifts. Those who possess the ability to excel with our  therapy reatments and an undying desire to provide superior service are encouraged to send in their resume for consideration.

Nail Technician

We are currently seeking VA licensed nail technicians to add to our growing spa. Someone with a smile and great personality would be perfect for our team.

Receptionist

We are currently seeking to add  new sophisticated receptionists to our team. Must be responsible, professional, a self-starter, motivated, detail oriented, has the ability to multi-task, energetic, friendly and must have the ability to coordinate daily tasks and schedules.
